Tours

All Saints Anglican Church Collie has many unique features both inside and outside the Church as well as in the history of the building. These features are explained in the ‘Our History’ section of this website. However a few features need to be specifically mentioned here. Firstly, the Church was a gift from Mrs Nora Noyes of London who paid for but never actually saw the Church. The ornate mural (which is part of the Collie Mural Trail) was painted by well known landscape artist Phillip Goatcher in a studio in Perth and it is oil on canvas. The finished mural was transported to Collie and attached to the Sanctuary wall via chicken wire and glue. Thirdly, the Bell Tower (added in 1928) holds one of the last remaining sets of eight tubular bells that are mechanically rung by a Clavier in the State or even the nation. Finally the Stained Glass Windows were crafted and installed by Edward Gowers and Albert Brown who included fine detail in their work as well as the beloved Red Setter Sir Bertrand Russell. Children particularly love to try and find the Red Setter in each of the 17 stained glass windows.

Tours of the Church are available by appointment. Please ask at the Collie Visitors Centre or at the Op Shop across the road from the Church if you wish to view the Church or Mural.
